TERESA conference date fixed

The TERESA conference on the scientific background of rural development will take place on the 27th and 28th of November 2008. It is open for everybody interested in rural development policy and research. Details are to be announced, you can pre-register by sending an email.

The milestone 1 deliverables are now available. Please visit our download page to obtain the pdf files.

22nd of February 2008
TERESA milestone 1 completed 

Both WP 1 "European backgound" and WP 2 "Case studies" have now been finished. Various documents were produced as deliverables, noteably the summarising "European background of rural development" and the extensice "Case study report" presenting 11 European rural regions and their networks of institutions and producers. WP 3's agent based model processing the case study and European statistical data is already on the way; next major step will be a core team workshop in Oslo on the 4th and 5th of April. All documents produced available to the public will be found on our download page after approval by the commission (usually 45 days after submission).

WP 2 of TERESA, the case studies, has now already been finished. During January 2008 you will be able to download the first project interim reports on our download page. WP 3, agent based modelling, is already on the way and will produce first results in mid 2008.

Murcia region description updated.

Change of Spanish case study region 

The Spanish case study region was changed to Murcia to provide a good selection of different regions in Europe. Murcia represents the Mediterranean permanent crop type, intensively cultivated and export-orientated.

Case study regions proposed online 
The profiles of the planned TERESA case study regions have been put online today. Their selection is now an item of discussion at the interface workshop in the Sussex town of Brighton and will then be fixed at the plenum meeting taking place in Brussels on the 3rd and 4th of May. TERESA kick off meetings 
The TERESA workpackage leaders will meet on the 12th and 13th of April at the interface workshop in Brighton to finalize the case study methods. All 12 TERESA contributers will meet on the 3rd and 4th of May in Brussels to kick off the case studies.

The TERESA project finally took off in the internet. All the basic information on the project can now be found on www.teresa-eu.info.
